Breakfast Chef – Hotel Sun Square (Vijayawada)
Job Title: Breakfast Chef
Location: Hotel Sun Square, Vijayawada
Job Summary
Hotel Sun Square is seeking a skilled and passionate Breakfast Chef to prepare fresh, high-quality breakfast dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation. The ideal candidate should be able to work efficiently during early morning shifts and ensure guests enjoy an excellent breakfast experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve South Indian, North Indian, continental, and egg-based breakfast items as per hotel standards.
* Ensure timely preparation and replenishment of the breakfast buffet and à la carte orders.
* Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
* Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control to minimize wastage.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations in accordance with food safety standards.
* Check inventory levels and inform the Head Chef about stock requirements.
* Store food items properly and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
* Coordinate with the restaurant and service team to ensure smooth breakfast operations.
* Follow all hotel SOPs and kitchen safety procedures.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Commis Chef, or Cook in a hotel or restaurant is preferred.
* Knowledge of South Indian breakfast items (idli, dosa, vada, upma, pongal), North Indian dishes, omelettes, sandwiches, and continental breakfast preparations.
* Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Good teamwork and communication skills.
* Willingness to work early morning shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
