Job Description
Sensitivity: Internal
Requirement of Sourcing - Trainees
a) Category of Sourcing & Engagement: Apprentice - NAPS/NATS Scheme
b) Qualification:
a. ITI (Mechanic/Electrician/Fitter/Welder/Turner)
b. Diploma (Electrical/Mechanic/Automobile)
c) Stipend:
a. Rs. 15,675/Month for ITI Graduate
b. Rs. 16,175/Month for Diploma Graduate
d) Location: Eyewear Factory, Titan Company Limited, Chikkaballapur
e) Tenure of Engagement: 1 Year
f) Work Conditions:
1) Apprentices should be willing to work in all three shifts
2) Food and Refreshments will be provided in the factory
3) Weekly off will be provided on a rotational basis
4) Holiday calendar will be the same as applicable to factory employees
5) Two days of paid leave will be provided per month
Brief - Job Role & Responsibilities:
Lens Manufacturing
▪ Surfacing Section: SS taping process, deblocking the lens after polish, lens cleaning,
load the lens in the tray and hand over, power generation machine operation and
polishing machine operation.
▪ Hard Coating Section: Lens receiving and storing in oven, batch preparation support,
skat blasting for powder shields and sectors, envelop scanning, sectors unloading from
the machine and machine cleaning.
▪ Tinting Section: Spin coat production on CR, poly and hi lenses, PC strip off before spin
coat and tinting operation.
▪ Anti-Reflection Coating Section: Skat blasting of sectors, chamber shields, rings,
shutters, chamber cleaning and changing set of shields based on condition of
chamber, receiving and arranging lenses as per coating type, loading and unloading
sectors into machine, segregation, arranging and cleaning of lenses and final
confirmation by scanning envelopes in HMI Tab/Excel.

Frames Manufacturing
▪ Metal Sub Assembly Section: Work activities are frame screwing, frame V cutting, prebuffing, polishing and ultrasonic cleaning
▪ Metal Assembly Section: Work activities are frames buffing, tip fixing, lens fixing,
demo drilling, UV printing, pad printing, packing, alignment and demo cleaning.
▪ Plastic Sub Assembly Section: Work activities are degating, polishing, buffing,
ultrasonic cleaning and physical inspection
▪ Plastic Assembly Section: Work activities are screw fixing, hinge fixing, decorative
fixing, tip fixing, lens fixing, drop bending, lens cleaning and packing
▪ Spray Shop: Assist in surface preparation activities prior to spray coating, including
cleaning, wiping, and inspection of components to ensure coating readiness, support
rejection segregation and rework identification during post-coating inspection.
Quality
▪ Lens QC: Lens inspection, handling of Lensometer, UV, Transition, cosmetic defects
identification, handling of non-conformance products, identifying progressive lenses
and laser engraving, teco machine operation, ink refilling, lenses segregation, primary
packing, scanning and uploading
▪ Frames QC: Vendor QC inspection, factory inspection for full assembled parts,
checking drawing parameters for frames and sunglasses, writing checklist, making
report and new product evaluation testing at reliability lab.
Maintenance
▪ Maintenance Section: Support wiring of panels, motors, lighting systems and control
circuits. assist in troubleshooting electrical & mechanical faults, ETP, STP, WTP, RO &
DM Plant operation and maintenance, maintain daily work reports and maintenance
logs, daily machine status monitoring and updation and assist in preparing
maintenance checklists.
