Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven **Production Manager** to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure efficient production processes, maintain quality standards, and achieve production targets. The ideal candidate will lead production teams, optimize resources, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to meet production schedules.
* Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
* Monitor production processes and implement improvements to increase productivity.
* Coordinate with procurement, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams for smooth operations.
* Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
* Monitor machine utilization and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
* Manage manpower allocation, shift planning, and workforce productivity.
* Analyze production data, prepare reports, and present performance updates to management.
* Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime.
* Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to improve performance.
* Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods in coordination with stores.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.
* Leadership and team management skills.
* Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Knowledge of quality control and safety standards.
* Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and production reporting.
* Good communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or a related field.
* 5–10 years of experience in production or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Preferred Candidate Profile
* Experience in manufacturing or industrial production environments.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma principles.
* Strong analytical and planning skills.
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and improve operational efficiency.
